NEW DELHI — GTNS, SEPTEMBER 10, 2026 — Russian President Vladimir Putin has arrived in New Delhi to participate in the 18th BRICS Summit, scheduled to be held on September 12–13.
Putin was welcomed upon his arrival at Palam Air Base, marking the beginning of his high-level visit to India for the summit.
His presence is expected to add significant diplomatic weight to the BRICS gathering, with India hosting leaders and senior representatives from major emerging economies.
The Russian President’s visit comes amid intense preparations in the national capital, where security agencies have put in place extensive arrangements for visiting heads of state and government.
