September 06/26/GTNS , New Delhi / Bhubaneswar Odisha Governor Dr Hari Babu Kambhampati met Union Home Minister Amit Shah in New Delhi on Saturday during his three-day visit to the national capital.
The meeting provided an opportunity for the two leaders to exchange views on issues connected with Odisha’s development and the welfare of its people. The interaction was described as cordial, with discussions focusing on matters of significance to the state.
The Governor’s visit to New Delhi included a series of important engagements with senior constitutional and government functionaries. Besides meeting the Union Home Minister, Dr Kambhampati also called on President Droupadi Murmu and Vice-President C. P. Radhakrishnan.
The series of meetings assumes significance as Odisha continues to focus on development, public welfare and strengthening coordination between the state and the Union government. Interactions between constitutional authorities and senior Union leaders also provide a platform for discussing issues of importance to the state.
During his stay in the national capital, the Governor attended various programmes and held interactions with senior dignitaries. The engagements covered matters concerning Odisha and the interests of its people.
The meeting with Amit Shah was part of the Governor’s wider schedule in Delhi. His discussions with key national leaders come at a time when Odisha is pursuing development initiatives across multiple sectors and seeking greater coordination on issues requiring central and state-level cooperation.
Dr Kambhampati returned to Odisha on Sunday after completing his engagements in New Delhi.
The Governor’s Delhi visit, marked by meetings with the President, Vice-President and Union Home Minister, underlined the importance of continued institutional engagement on issues relating to Odisha’s growth and public welfare.
