New Delhi , GTNS | September 09, 2026: India has further strengthened its emergency assistance to Nepal, sending another Indian Air Force aircraft loaded with specialised relief and rescue material to Kathmandu.
The eighth IAF sortie in the ongoing assistance effort is carrying approximately 35 tonnes of supplies, aimed at supporting teams involved in rescue, recovery and humanitarian operations on the ground.
The consignment includes critical equipment for the National Disaster Response Force, along with rescue tools and other operational resources required during emergency missions.
Specialised forensic material is also part of the shipment, while additional supplies for Army personnel are being transported to maintain the operational readiness of teams supporting the relief effort.
The latest airlift demonstrates the importance of rapid logistics during a disaster response, allowing essential equipment to reach Kathmandu quickly and strengthening the capabilities of personnel working in challenging conditions.
The continued deployment of specialised Indian teams and equipment also reflects the close cooperation between the two neighbouring countries during times of crisis.
With the eighth aircraft now on its way to Kathmandu, India’s relief operation continues to focus on ensuring that rescue personnel have the equipment and resources needed to respond effectively.
