Puri , GTNS | September 09, 2026 : Odisha Governor Dr. Hari Babu Kambhampati has highlighted the growing importance of Ayurveda in shaping the future of healthcare, saying India’s traditional medical knowledge can complement the changing needs of modern medicine.
The Governor made the observation while attending the graduation ceremony of Gopabandhu Ayurveda Mahavidyalaya in Puri as the chief guest.
He described Ayurveda as an important part of India’s knowledge heritage and said its principles could provide a meaningful connection between the country’s traditional wisdom and emerging healthcare practices.
Addressing the graduating students, the Governor stressed the responsibility of the new generation of Ayurvedic professionals to carry this knowledge forward while responding to contemporary healthcare challenges.
He also underlined the scope for Ayurveda to contribute to a broader approach to healthcare, particularly through its emphasis on traditional knowledge and holistic wellbeing.
The graduation ceremony brought together students, faculty members and guests as the institution marked the completion of the academic journey of its graduating batch.
