NEW DELHI — GTNS, SEPTEMBER 10, 2026 — In a significant development ahead of the 18th BRICS Summit, three Russian military aircraft landed at Noida International Airport in Jewar on Thursday as preparations intensified for Russian President Vladimir Putin’s visit to India.
The arrival marks the first reported landing of three Russian military aircraft at the newly operational airport and comes just ahead of the September 12–13 BRICS Summit in New Delhi.
The aircraft are understood to be linked to the logistical and security preparations for the Russian delegation accompanying President Putin.
