TELANGANA, 05/09- The controversy surrounding the Special Intensive Revision of electoral rolls in Telangana has become one of the sharpest political disputes of the day.Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy has alleged that the voter-revision exercise could be used against Congress supporters and accused the BJP-led Centre of attempting to influence the electoral landscape. The BJP has rejected the allegations. The final revised list is currently scheduled for October 19, while the state government has sought additional time from the Election Commission.The political significance of the controversy goes well beyond the administrative exercise itself.For opposition parties, voter-list revision has become a question of electoral fairness.
