Abu Dhabi, GTNS | September 09, 2026: Odisha has stepped up its international investment outreach in the United Arab Emirates, with Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi holding a detailed interaction with members of the Indian Business and Professional Group (IBPG) in Abu Dhabi.
The engagement formed part of Odisha’s ongoing UAE outreach aimed at building stronger connections with investors, entrepreneurs and business professionals and presenting the state’s emerging economic opportunities to the international business community.
During the interaction, discussions centred on the scope for expanding investment, trade and industrial cooperation between Odisha and the UAE. The meeting also provided an opportunity to highlight the state’s economic potential and areas where stronger business partnerships could be developed.
Odisha is increasingly positioning itself as a competitive destination for domestic and international investors, backed by its industrial infrastructure, strategic location, ports, connectivity and availability of opportunities across multiple sectors.
The UAE’s position as a major global commercial and investment hub makes engagement with its business community particularly significant for Odisha. Stronger links with UAE-based companies and professionals could open new avenues for investment as well as market access for Odisha’s industries and products.
The interaction with IBPG also reflects the state government’s efforts to take its investment message directly to global business networks rather than relying solely on conventional investment outreach.
For Odisha, the UAE engagement is expected to support broader objectives of attracting fresh capital, strengthening industrial linkages, expanding exports and creating opportunities for employment and economic growth.
