Campaign links public participation with a broader message of service, nation-building and the vision of a developed India
GTNS, SEPTEMBER 17, 2026 , KURUKSHETRA — A public campaign centred on the themes of service, national development and citizen participation was launched in Kurukshetra on Thursday under the banner of the ‘Seva Sankalp Abhiyan’.The initiative seeks to connect public participation with the broader vision of a Viksit Bharat, while highlighting the importance of dedicated public service and nation-building.The campaign also marks a moment to acknowledge the 25-year public and political journey of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, whose supporters describe his approach to governance as being rooted in service to the people and a long-term national development agenda. As part of the campaign, families across Kurukshetra have been urged to participate in the ‘Ashirwad Diya’ initiative. Residents have been requested to light a lamp at their homes between 6 pm and 7 pm today as a symbolic expression of collective participation and goodwill. Organisers have presented the initiative as a simple household-level activity intended to bring people together around a common civic and national-development message. The campaign’s central message is being expressed through the slogan: “One lamp, one resolve — the entire Kurukshetra together.”
The organisers said the participation of families would give the campaign a community-wide character while reinforcing the idea that nation-building involves collective effort. The initiative comes with a wider appeal for citizens to contribute to the country’s development journey through participation, public service and a shared commitment to the goal of a developed India.
