Abu Dhabi, BBSR, GTNS: September 9, 2026: The Government of Odisha has begun its investment outreach in the United Arab Emirates with a packed schedule of high-level meetings involving global business leaders, investors, industry groups and diplomatic representatives.Led by Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi, the Odisha delegation is using the UAE visit to showcase the state’s industrial potential and explore new opportunities for investment, trade and strategic partnerships.The day’s engagements include a roundtable with International Holding Company (IHC) and representatives of its major business verticals and group companies. Discussions are expected to focus on potential investment opportunities and strengthening long-term industry partnerships with Odisha.The Chief Minister will also interact with members of the Indian Business and Professional Group (IBPG) in Abu Dhabi. The meeting will highlight Odisha’s emerging investment opportunities while seeking to further strengthen business and professional links between India and the UAE.Another key engagement will be the meeting with Hazeem Sultan Al Suwaidi, CEO of Borouge, with discussions centred on the petrochemical sector and possibilities for investment and industrial collaboration in Odisha.The Odisha delegation is also scheduled to meet leading UAE investment institutions, where the state’s industrial capabilities, emerging sectors and investment opportunities will be presented to potential investors.The outreach will extend to Dubai, where the delegation will inaugurate a display of Odisha’s One District One Product (ODOP) offerings. The initiative will showcase the state’s traditional products, handicrafts and local enterprises to the UAE market, creating opportunities for greater international visibility and market access.The Chief Minister and delegation will further meet the Consul General of India in Dubai to discuss the ongoing Odisha-UAE engagement and explore avenues for stronger institutional and community-level cooperation.With multiple business, investment and diplomatic engagements lined up, Day 1 of the Odisha Investors Meet in the UAE is aimed at building stronger global partnerships and positioning Odisha as an attractive destination for investment and industrial growth.
