CUTTACK: Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi struck a personal note during a Teachers’ Day interaction with students in Cuttack, recalling his own days as a teacher.Speaking during an interaction at Secondary Board High School, Majhi said, “I was once a teacher too,” as he connected his personal experience with the significance of the teaching profession and the bond between teachers and students.The Chief Minister used the occasion to encourage students to remain focused on education and their career goals. He also advised them against spending excessive time on social media and cautioned them to be careful about misinformation.Majhi stressed that education is not limited to gaining knowledge but plays a wider role in shaping individuals and building society.His recollection of his own teaching days added a personal dimension to the Teachers’ Day programme, highlighting his connection with the teaching community and the traditional Guru-Shishya relationship.The interaction was held as part of the state’s Teachers’ Day celebrations in Cuttack, attended by teachers, students, officials and public representatives.
